Faster, Greener, Quieter

UAV Propulsion Challenges

Sol1 builds UAV in the weight class of 20 to 150 kg. We specifically focus on cost-effective low-weight drones that have long endurance and long flights, a combination which poses problems for the current battery technology.

Fuel is an obvious answer, but here we are interested in greener and quieter small engines than what is currently on the market.

Sol1 focusses on the ability to mass produce its aircraft at small automotive scale, with strategic sourcing. New engines and development techniques may be relevant research topics.

Sol1 has a strong interest in high-speed UAV flight, with the focus on the ability to mass-produce, be cost-effective and with local production.

The upcoming certified variants of our drones flies over cities and population, making noise production as major focus point.
