Sol.One is committed to advancing safety in safety-critical devices, offering innovative solutions for both the established aerospace industry and new entrants.
The established avionics industry is focused on safety and quality, but uses time consuming methods to ensure quality is reached.
Sol.One brings something better. We fully automate the avionics software development. Starting from a high-level requirement model written in the language Sol, the Sol toolchain creates a real-time application that is efficient at taking advantage of the available computing resources. The model is converted to a binary file which is executed by SolOS, our DAL A real-time operating system especially designed for this task. The toolchain is qualified to generate EASA/FAA DAL A applications with no further review, certification or testing. The application is guaranteed to comply with the model. The software is taken straight to the system level, where the system tests can validate the correctness of the high-level requirement model.
Our DO-178C automation technology is unique, world leading and fully compliant with EASA/FAA guidelines for DAL A certification.
To ensure the quality of requirement model, Sol.One provides customers with a development platform that has extensive warnings and error messages on the requirements specified in Sol.
Sol.One also provides DO-254 DAL A pre-certified Sol hardware with the pre-installed SolOS runtime, providing the highest hardware safety to all avionics applications. The hardware is also available with SolPI, a subset of SolOS that is suited for custom C application development.
Beyond providing Sol as a platform to our users, we also use our own platform to build solutions and products that our customers can use. This is especially helpful to new entrants into the market, which we offer a coherent set of products that make it far easier to take an aircraft from the drawing to experimental flight, and from experimental flight to production.
Finally, there are a select number of unmanned aircraft models we design, build and produce ourselves, providing us with the experience that our customers have when integrating our products into a working aircraft.
Using this avionics generation automation, Sol.One aims to improve quality of its customers products beyond the state of the art. Relentless improvement lies at the basis of everything Sol.One does, and safety and quality are at the top of that list. Products are continuously re-evaluated for new opportunities to make them even safer, and even higher quality. Our technology’s design objective is to enable custom development that reaches quality levels unattainable through manual software development or any other methods, for a fraction of the risk, time and cost. We also keep improving our own products relentlessly, providing new generations of our products.
Amidst this continuous push forward, we use very strong configuration management. We provide aviation-grade long-term support for any version of any production product we bring to a customer. In addition, we invest in obsolescence management, aiming to provide our customers with technological means to transition old applications onto new platforms without rework.
Our technologies go well beyond safety and obsolescence management. We aim to provide insightful tools to customers that delight developers, as well as verification and QA teams These are tools we enjoy using ourselves—and actually do use. By identifying and addressing issues within our tools, we ensure you won’t have to, continuously making them better and more powerful.
